Alexandros Kyziridis in Hearts transfer talks as Greek winger set to join Derek McInnes' Tynecastle revolution

The 24-year-old is available on a free transfer and looks set to make the move to Gorgie from Slovakia

Alexandros Kyziridis

Alexandros Kyziridis is in talks to join Hearts next season.

Record Sport understands that the Greek winger is in discussions over a move to Tynecastle and comes with a Jamestown Analytics seal of approval.

The wide man, who is predominantly left-sided, currently plies his trade in Slovakia with MFK Zemplin Michalovce.

The 24-year-old is out of contract at the end of next month and the capital club are confident that a deal could be announced sooner rather than later.

An upgrade on their wide options is a summer priority for the Jambos, with Barrie McKay set to leave when his deal expires.

Incoming boss Derek McInnes tends to play with more width than predecessor Neil Critchley preferred, with his much maligned diamond formation limiting opportunities for the likes of Mckay, Alan Forrest and Yan Dhanda.

Kyziridis began his career with PAOK in his homeland before eventually leaving Greece for Hungarian outfit Debrecen in Februay last year.

He was loaned to NS Mura in Slovenia before making the switch to Zemplin last August.

His stats during his only season on the Slovakian top flight are impressive, scoring seven times in 24 outings and laying on 12 goals for his teammates.

Kyziridis can also offer McInnes versatility by operating on the right side, as a central attacking midfielder and as a striker if required.

He is set to become the Jambos' second signing of the summer, having already confirmed the capture of Valerenga captain Christian Borchgrevink.

A deal for Kazakh international wide man Islam Chesnokov had seemed close for Hearts, although it's understood things have cooled on that front.
